Six children have been killed in Tanzania and had their ears and teeth removed, the authorities say. A number of the bodies of the kids, aged between two and 9 years old, were also missing limbs.
“This is about superstitious beliefs and several believe they’ll get support from witchcraft,” Njombe District Commissioner Ruth Msafiri said.
Police have detained a single suspect, a good close relative of 3 of the children who actually were from the same spouse and children.
Ten children in every have gone missing on Njombe since the start of December and several have already been found alive.
Correspondents mention that some witchdoctors in your community tell persons that body parts have particular properties that may bring them riches and luck.
“We urge all father and mother and guardians to be on alert and show their children how determine the motives of who’s around them,” the district commissioner stated.
The children were extracted from their homes during the night when their parents were selling food at market.
